Thanks to the work of the active members of IFMSA-Spain, each year we achieve:

  • That nearly 500 Spanish medical students enjoy a month of clinical exchange abroad with food and accommodation provided. As the exchanges are bilateral, the Spanish medical faculties host the same number of foreign students.
that 300 students enjoy national exchanges
  • That more than 70 Spanish students carry out 1 to 6 months of biomedical research exchange in the same conditions as the previous exchanges.
  • To send around 50 medical students to collaborate with Public Health projects in areas where their presence is really necessary.
  • To organise various seminars and courses related to health and oriented both to medical students and general public.
IFMSA-Spain has this webpage: www.ifmsa-spain.org with which we maintain the students informed about our activities and facilitate the IFMSA-Spain contacts to people interested in participating.
  • To raise awareness amongst medical students regarding important topics in our days: social inequalities, migration, human and health rights, international cooperation, health for all, gender equality, medical students’ difficulties in their training…
  • IFMSA has signed a collaboration agreement with Student BMJ (British Medical Journal): IFMSA members can publish articles and thanks to this agreement, our students have the opportunity to show the work being done at out Universities in Spain as well as letting the world know about our concerns, necessities and achievements. The magazine is available on the web and in hardcopy. It’s a great opportunity for students to learn how to publish in a great magazine. www.studentbmj.com
